How to Make Omo’s Oil
I was really excited to make my own homemade coconut oil. Sure, my romantic introduction may have been a factor, but furthermore, I have always had a preference for using natural beauty products. After googling coconut oil, I was impressed with the multitude of benefits for hair and skin, as well as its antioxidant, antibacterial and soothing properties. So, on the first day back from our trip, Chef Joe sweetly agreed to make it for me.
Just a few quick notes- Although Chef Joe was able to pull this off with no problems, I don’t think I would have been able to get past the “tapping while rotating the coconut until it cracks” and that is only step three!
