Retiring The Jacket
Today is King Foodie’s last day of work at the Fearrington. Honestly, it is a bit bittersweet. Joe has truly enjoyed working at the restaurant, and likely would have had a bright future in the culinary field. That is, if we were willing to wait until we were seventy. However, he is hanging up his chef’s jacket, and we are moving on to bigger and brighter things.
Change can be scary… because no matter how well planned, you just don’t know what is going to happen. However, there can be something exciting in choosing a new trail and trekking forward. Perhaps this act empowers us by challenging us to grow.
Anyhoo, good luck Joe with your new endeavor! Readers, no need to worry about this guy though. King Foodie not only adapts to anything with the ease of a sponge soaking up water, he thrives! Trust me, the Foodie will be fine.
As for me? Of course I am thrilled to have my man around nights, weekends, holidays, etc. However, I’ve got to be honest with you though. I do have one concern. How can I keep King Foodie from taking over my kitchen?
Savor on,
Marney
